We adore the San Remo! It feels like our second home whenever we're in town. This place is uniquely charming, offers great morning coffee, and is situated in the best spot! A quick stroll in any direction brings you to Northbeach or the waterfront. Fantastic breakfast at Pat's just around the corner. This remains our favorite and affordable city stay.
Blending history and a prime location, this place has decorations that show meticulous attention to detail. Everything was spotless and the staff was welcoming.

San Remo is my go-to spot in San Francisco! Built in 1906, it exudes history and charm. The woodwork is exquisite, rooms are cozy with antique touches! Shared bathrooms are always clean and convenient. Most rooms have sinks and windows. The location is unbeatable—close to Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach, and excellent Italian eateries. Friendly front desk, too. After 35 years, it still feels like home❤️

Charming hotel from 1908, well-preserved and memorable. Loved the historic photos and articles. Comfy bed, quiet (except for morning trash trucks in alley rooms). Nice, helpful staff. However, it's not suitable for those with mobility issues due to the lack of an elevator and small shared toilets. Excellent location and great value for SF!

Our establishment is a pension-style, historic property. Please note that the bathrooms and showers are not ensuite but are situated down the hall. They are shared among all guests and offer privacy while in use.
